NooB Research Lab #2

This is about 3 Mantra you should memorize after knowing the true meaning

I want to find answers to …

If you are stuck in finding your soulmate, trust me finding a research problem is even harder than finding a soulmate! Just kidding!

So if you are stuck there, check my first article on this series here.

Done reading it? Did or not, always remind your brain/mind this first mantra because you know why? It always helps you to avoid getting lost in the wild. You will go wild when words like literature review, methodology, research design etc comes up in your submissions or whatever step in the process. It will avoid you going off topic and helps you to stay focused. Always remember the mantra and it will bring back to your sense.

Thank me later.

Change is a chance

Change is inevitable. No joking and this is not some religious promotion campaign. This is a must where you should try yourself to adapt. For me, this was and is the toughest of all to practice. Throughout the research, you will be forced to change whether you like it or not if you really wanna get through this.

I had to change the research problem.

I had to change the methods I followed in the process half the way.

I did a design science-based research so I had to do prototyping and you know what? I had to change the solution design completely.

From the research problem to expected results, everything is subjected to change.

I am not alone

Even if you are doing the research alone, you are not alone. Take these words from a noob who did alone which is supposed to be group research.

‘You are on your own’ when writing the thesis

‘You are on your own’ when presenting

‘You are on your own’ when defending

But there are plenty of people to help you. So literary you are not alone! Never be afraid to be open to your supervisors because they know that you are a newbie. And if you want more support get external advisor help. Maybe your seniors or colleagues. And here I am too! Anytime drop me a message or comment on my posts.

So once again the 3 Mantra,

1. I want to find answers to …

2. Change is a chance

3. I am not alone

Await for the next in the series…

Don’t worry, what you need to read will be posted timely when the time is right!

Keep researching you NooB!

PS: All gif illustrations were not stolen and they are mine ❤
